About FuelWatchNI
FuelWatchNI shows the fuel prices that forecourts across Northern Ireland have reported, so you can compare petrol, premium petrol, diesel and premium diesel near you before you set off.
Where the prices come from
Retailers report their prices through the UK Fuel Finder scheme. We collect that published data, check it and show each price with the time it was reported. We do not set, change or guess prices. [OWNER TO CONFIRM] (wording about the scheme and our relationship to it)
How the comparison works
- Lowest, Average and Highest are worked out for the fuel and area you chose, from prices reported in the last 7 days.
- A price is green only when it is below that average. Older prices are still shown with their date, but they are not counted in the average and are never green.
- Sorting by Cost or Distance does not change the average.
- Distances are estimates by road, shown with “~”. Where a station’s map pin has not been checked and there is evidence it may be wrong, we show no distance rather than a misleading one.
- Widening a town search adds 2.5, 5 or 10 miles beyond the town boundary, measured in a straight line.
Always check at the pump
Prices can change at any time. The price at the pump is the one you pay.
